This trip is perfect for women looking for an active getaway that feels both energizing and restorative. Whether you’re hoping to challenge yourself on the trails, reconnect with nature, or simply enjoy a beautiful escape along the Maine coast, Acadia offers the perfect setting for an unforgettable adventure.
This trip is designed for women with a moderate level of fitness who enjoy staying active in nature. Expect daily movement including scenic hikes ranging from 2 to 5 miles on varied terrain with gentle to extensive elevation gain. While not overly strenuous, the trip involves being on your feet for several hours most days, making it ideal for adventurous spirits who are comfortable with light to moderate physical activity in the outdoors.
Late September to early October in Acadia National Park brings crisp coastal fall weather that feels perfect for hiking. Daytime temperatures typically range from the mid-50s to upper 60s, while mornings and evenings can feel quite chilly, especially near the water or at higher elevations like Cadillac Mountain. The air is fresh and cool with lower humidity than summer, and the fall foliage begins turning vibrant shades of red, orange, and gold. Weather can change quickly along the Maine coast, so layers and a light rain jacket are essential, but overall it’s considered one of the best times of year to experience the park.
