About this trip

Step into the wild beauty of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula on a five-day women’s adventure that blends epic scenery, soul-fueling movement, and the magic of connection. From misty rainforests to windswept beaches, alpine ridgelines to serene glacial lakes, this journey is designed to inspire wonder and recharge your spirit. Whether you’re hiking among ancient moss-draped trees, paddling through still waters, or laughing around a beachside picnic, you’ll feel both grounded and uplifted by the power of nature—and the company of incredible women.

We’ll explore iconic landscapes within Olympic National Park, soak in natural hot springs, kayak along hidden coves, and chase sunsets on the rugged Pacific coast. You’ll even walk through the very forests where Twilight was filmed—though the magic you’ll experience here goes far beyond the screen. Each day offers the perfect blend of adventure and ease, designed for women who want to feel alive, curious, and connected.

This isn’t just a trip—it’s a chance to step away from the noise, move your body in beautiful places, and remember just how wild and capable you really are.

Activity Level - Moderate

This trip is designed for women with a moderate level of fitness who enjoy staying active in nature. Expect daily movement including scenic hikes ranging from 2 to 5 miles on varied terrain (some with gentle elevation gain), leisurely kayaking on calm waters, and time spent walking on beaches and forest trails. While not overly strenuous, the trip involves being on your feet for several hours most days, making it ideal for adventurous spirits who are comfortable with light to moderate physical activity in the outdoors.

Weather

August is one of the best months to visit the Olympic Peninsula, offering warm, dry, and mostly sunny weather—especially on the eastern side near Sequim and Port Townsend. Daytime temperatures typically range from the mid-60s to mid-70s°F (18–24°C), while evenings can cool down into the 50s°F (10–15°C), especially near the coast or in higher elevations. While the rainforest areas remain lush and green, rainfall is minimal this time of year, making it ideal for hiking, kayaking, and beach exploration. Layers are key, as conditions can vary between sun-soaked beaches and misty forests.

Money & Tipping

All the excursions listed in the itinerary are included. Bring cash/credit cards for purchasing souvenirs, additional snacks/meals, alcoholic drinks, extra activities, and other items.

All gratuities are included in your adventure, with the exception of tips for your Chicas Abroad Tour Leader. While tipping your Tour Leader is entirely optional, it’s a meaningful way to show appreciation for the care, energy, and behind-the-scenes magic they bring to your trip.

If you’ve had an exceptional experience, a typical gratuity for a trip of this length ranges from $200–$250. In cases where more than one Tour Leader is present, you’re welcome to give your tip to one of them—they’ll ensure it’s shared among the team.

You’ll hike the Hurricane Hill Trail, a 3-mile round-trip path lined with wildflowers and panoramic views that will make your heart race in the best way. With every step, you’ll feel a little more alive, a little more connected to the earth—and maybe even a little more powerful.

In the afternoon, descend to the sunshine-filled town of Sequim, known for its blooming lavender farms and golden light. There’s no rush, no pressure—just the joy of movement and the serenity of the water beneath your boat.

In the afternoon, head into the mossy wonderland of the Sol Duc Valley for a forest hike to the roaring Sol Duc Falls. Towering trees, quiet paths, and the rhythmic splash of waterfalls create a perfect Pacific Northwest symphony. Aug 8 - Twilight, Rainforest Wonder & Sunset Beaches

Today is a full immersion into the lush, mythical beauty of the Pacific Northwest. You’ll begin the day in Forks, the small logging town made famous by the Twilight saga. With moss-draped trees and overcast skies, it’s easy to see why this became the backdrop for Bella and Edward’s story. Stop by the Forks Visitor Center to snap a photo with Bella’s truck, pick up a Twilight-themed map, and explore the Forever Twilight in Forks Collection—a fascinating exhibit of props, costumes, and memorabilia from the films. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just curious, it’s a lighthearted and nostalgic addition to your adventure.

From there, the magic of nature takes over. Head to the nearby Hoh Rain Forest, where old-growth trees tower above and the air hangs thick with moss and mist. You’ll hike a tranquil trail like the Spruce Nature Trail, letting the quiet beauty of the rainforest sink in. In the afternoon, you’ll transition from green to blue as you explore the raw, wave-battered coastline of Rialto Beach. If tides allow, walk out to Hole-in-the-Wall, where sea stacks rise from the ocean and tidepools brim with life.

As the sun dips toward the horizon, gather on the beach for a relaxed group picnic and a golden-hour photo session. It’s a day full of contrast—mystery and wonder, stories and scenery—and one you’ll never forget.

Your final adventure leads you to Cape Flattery, the northwesternmost point of the contiguous U.S.—and one of the most breathtaking. A short coastal trail leads to dramatic cliffs where sea caves echo with the calls of birds, and the vast Pacific stretches endlessly into the horizon. It’s a powerful spot for reflection, inspiration, and gratitude.

As you make your way back toward the ferry or airport, there’s a shared sense of something special—something transformed. You came for the adventure, but you’ll leave with deeper connections, renewed confidence, and memories made under ancient trees and golden skies. This isn’t just a getaway—it’s a reminder of how wildly beautiful life can be when you say yes to the journey.
