Arrive at the San Diego Airport by 3:00 PM on March 5, where your fabulous Chicas Abroad guide will be waiting to greet you with a warm smile and a seat in our signature Chicas van. From there, we’ll head straight to our stunning private villa nestled in the heart of Temecula wine country. After settling in, we’ll kick things off with a delicious welcome dinner featuring local flavors and plenty of laughter. Enjoy a cozy, restful evening—because the weekend ahead is filled with unforgettable adventures, wine, and friendship.

March 6 - Sunrise hot air balloon ride and wine-tasting
We’ll start the day bright and early—with coffee in hand—as we head out for an unforgettable sunrise hot air balloon ride over the rolling hills of Temecula’s wine country. Watch the sun cast its golden glow over the vineyards as we float peacefully through the sky—this is what dream trips are made of.

After we touch down, we’ll toast the experience with a leisurely brunch before diving into a day of wine tasting. We’ll visit at least two handpicked wineries to sip, savor, and soak in the scenery—and if the mood strikes, we might just add another to the mix.

In the evening, we’ll gather for a fabulous group dinner, sharing laughs and stories about our incredible day soaring above the vines. Cheers to unforgettable moments with amazing women!

March 7 - More Wine-Tasting & Old Town Temecula Shopping
After yesterday’s adventures, we’ll enjoy a slow and easy morning at the villa—think coffee in hand, cozy conversations, and time to soak in the beautiful surroundings.
Later, we’ll head out for more wine tasting at two (or more!) of Temecula’s renowned wineries, where the pours are as lovely as the views. In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to charming Old Town Temecula for some retail therapy—boutique shopping, unique finds, and maybe even a sweet treat or two.

We’ll wrap up the day with a delicious dinner—either out at a favorite local restaurant or right at home in our villa, depending on the vibe. It’s the perfect blend of laid-back luxury and girlfriend getaway fun.

March 8 - Whale-watching in San Diego and departure
We’ll rise early, pack up, and head to the coast for one last adventure—a scenic whale-watching tour off the shores of San Diego. This is peak migration season for gray whales, and if we’re lucky, we might even spot playful dolphins or elusive orcas along the way.

Our tour will wrap up around 1:00 PM, leaving us time to head to the airport with hearts full and cameras loaded with memories. Be sure to book your departing flight for 4:00 PM or later to allow plenty of time for a smooth and stress-free send-off.

This was one of my hiking trips of a lifetime! Peru is absolutely beautiful and Melanie with ChicasAbroad made sure everything was taken care of for a stupendous experience! The hiking was phenomenal albeit challenging. Just proved that you can do difficult things, especially with the support of Melanie and all the Chicas hiking with me. Daniel, our guide that Melanie found was THE BEST guide I have ever had on any previous trips on my own. Melanie does not miss a beat and I rest assured knowing that she takes care of everything. The hotels and lodges we stayed in were wonderful! If you are thinking about traveling to a destination, utilize ChicasAbroad to join a trip or plan a trip of your own! Top of the line service and experience!!!! Can't wait to go on another one. This was my third trip with ChicasAbroad!

What an incredible amazing time I had with the women who guided and attended the San Juan Islands August 2025 trip. It was challenging to kayak and camp the way I did but I have immense gratitude for that experience. The women were all so wonderful and the trip was so well-organized. The Apostle Islands Kayak Camping trip is definitely for folks who can appreciate a physical/ mental challenge in the outdoors and are prepared to expect the unexpected from Mother Nature. I am new to camping and had limited paddling experience, but found my stride while experiencing an epic adventure with a great group of friendly and supportive woman, all unknown to me prior to enrolling. The trip was enhanced by the excellent , professional and experienced guides who prioritized the group’s safety and well-being, prepared delish snacks and meals, and taught many newbies like myself how to navigate a persnickety but beautiful Lake Superior. I learned quite a lot about backcountry camping fundamentals that I will carry with me on my next outing, and I returned home feeling so much gratitude and respect for these women, the water, and the wilds of this rotating rock we call Earth. Thank you Maddy, Abby, Gitchie Gumee, and the Chicas Team, for the opportunity to have this once-in-a-lifetime experience and education.

What a treat to just show up and enjoy a fun filled weekend in Walla Walla! This was my first trip with Chicas Abroad and it did not disappoint. Melanie created an itinerary that provided opportunities to be active as well as some down time. We rode bikes to the wineries with a guide, attended the balloon stampede, hiked, ate delicious meals, and enjoyed each other's company. I am already looking forward to my next Chicas Abroad trip.
